Another downloadable free book called called “10 Steps to Winning Texas Holdem” is available at getfreesofts.com. The 64-page book is easy to read and understand, and will cover enough topics to get the novice started in the game.

Poker guide sites are multiplying daily, but only a few sites provide quality information for free. Some require you to sign up and provide them with your email address so they can send you future promotions, but it’s usually worth it for the free knowledge.

pokerlistings.com has a great selection of poker articles for free, not to mention being a great spot for sign-up bonuses.

pokerpages.com has an archive of all the contributor’s articles for the last few years available for free on the site, the same way that cardplayer.com does. Some of the best names in poker writing are represented in these collections which can improve your game in numerous ways.

Not all free poker instruction requires that you play at the site that’s providing you with the knowledge and information. There are lots of free books and articles that will keep you busy reading and learning for a long time. Once the free tactics make you a few bucks, then maybe you can buy an advanced book with your winnings.
